The biggest miracle one can get in life is receiving Jesus in their lives. This article clearly outlines the healing power of God and His handy-work. Accepting Jesus as your Saviour is the only thing that has eternal value. Many people do not believe in the healing power of God, but this article is here as a testimony that God’s power moves in an extraordinary way in His people.
Michelle is a woman of great faith. A woman who prays zealously-on her knees. A woman who cherishes the Gospel and the word of God. A gentle lady. A holy woman. A woman redeemed…but Michelle wasn’t this kind of a female before.
If you met her, you would never guess the path this woman’s traveled down. You would never believe that, years ago, Michelle indulged in heavy boozing and careless sleeping with men of any kind. A lifestyle that led her to her darkest time of her life.
In the year 1992, Michelle tested positive for HIV. At first, she did not believe everything was true, so she was tested again and again-4 times. Three out of the four tests reflected similar results: HIV positive. After a short period, her husband left their home leaving her with their three young children. She had to care for them, alone. As years passed, Michelle’s health increasingly deteriorated. As a result of her worsened immune system, she faced many bouts with malaria and at the same time an 8-month period of fighting tuberculosis. The deterioration of her body brought her incredibly close to developing AIDS.
According to Michelle, sometimes hardships and challenging issues bring us on our knees to God, Who we try very hard to deny. To God, we opt to find in the things of the natural world, like alcohol, sex, and money. HIV brought Michelle face to face with Jesus. In the year 2004, she gave her life to Him- accepting God’s gift of grace.
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made strong in your weakness
2 Corinthians 12:9
After four years of praying for miracle – praying that God would heal her – in 2008, Michelle together with a friend went to the hospital for another blood test. This time round, she tested negative for HIV. After 16 years fighting the health, psychological, physical and social effects of HIV-it was no more. Just like that.
According to Michelle, Not even the best countries in the world have the cure for HIV. You don’t just do away with the infection. The only explanation for what happened to me is that the finger of God healed me.
God answers prayers. Up to now, He still heals. His spirit continues to move mightily with His congregation. The prayers of the righteous people are still powerful and grow to be more and more powerful. (James 5:17) – No matter how sordid your past has been.
In the year 2011, Michelle was tested again, and the test results affirmed that she was negative for HIV. Praise God for His healing and his power that is mighty. There is no doubt that Michelle’s faith made her well. God offers redemption to all in the world, those that seeks His kingdom and His righteousness first.

Esther Healed for 20 years
Dating back from the time Esther was five years, she can recall trusting in the work of Christ’s shed blood and His resurrection over death and sin. Since early childhood she can remember she had a sense of a presence and all the way, she knew she was never alone. She trusted in the still voice of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes she chose just to ignore the voice of the Holy Spirit.
One time Esther decided to argue that voice was in the year 1983, around the Easter season. By then she was 19 years old. She was with her “friend,” Kelvin, staying for a weekend. Kelvin regarded himself bisexual. Many times they would go out to dance in clubs. Esther had no history of sexual abuse, rejection, and abandonment. Like many girls, she sexually experimented with other girls. Her desire with women became even stronger. She became drawn sexually to males but, on the other hand, found herself becoming emotionally and sexually attracted to women. She says that maybe it was because of the closeness she had with Kelvin that made her consider having sex with him on that day. She was going through great inner conflict at that time.
As she lay there just about to let him penetrate, a voice within her said to her “Don’t sleep with him! He is infected.” She thought silently arguing with this voice, “What disease could he have? If its gonorrhea there is treatment.” “No, it’s not that!” The Holy Spirit has firmly warned her in her ignorance. In her foolishness and stubbornness, she argued that she loved him and loved conquered everything. It was too late for her to tell him No.
Later she indulged in sex with other men. That year in the summer she was in a relationship with a Frenchman-summer love.
Then when she started school, she began to reflect on the life she was living. She tried to pull away from being promiscuous and became intimately involved with one person. According to Esther, she was her true love and the third person she had been with in her life as an adult. They remained together for almost two years. At that Esther began to fall sick. She was sick for several months. Her family doctor prescribed for her some antibiotics which rather, did not work. She had diarrhea for more than a month. The sweats during nights had her change at least twice before morning.
While her health began to weaken she saw an advertisement on the news that stated all bisexual and gay men to test for a disease that was new. The advert described all the symptoms. She had to beg her parents to check since she was a woman and the study was for men. After three attempts the results were positive for HIV. A fourth test had to be done. It came out Esther was infected. June 6, 1985.
According to Esther, as she left the hospital that day, her body was walking, but her mind was searching for another place. She prayed as she walked. She thought that she would die. She never wanted her life to be a total waste. As she walked, she told God that she needed another chance. She said in her mind, and it was alright if she died, but she could do so much with her alive. After a moment of bargaining and being angry with herself, she decided to let go and pray the sinner’s prayer.
Dear Jesus, I confess I am a sinner and have missed the mark in every way. My life had been lived for me and I have not trusted you with it. Please forgive me.
She began to remember all the people she had hurt out of her pain. She could not remember them all.
A miracle happened. Christ spoke to her in the same quiet and still voice she had talked to her when she was 19 years. “Come to the cross.” As Esther walked, she saw a picture of Jesus on the cross, bleeding, broken and dying. “Lay it down here. Everything. You can do nothing with it. Let it go. I have done it all. It is finished. Receive my salvation. I have saved you. Receive my healing. I have healed you. It was all done here. Take it.”
Tears began to roll down on Esther’s cheeks. Understanding came to her that no matter what she had done right, she could never do enough. Jesus wanted to give her a clean slate and a fresh start. She had to believe and take it with her.
As Esther continued walking and thinking, she wondered what she would do with the new slate. She wanted to change her behavior and serve humanity. She wanted to show everyone the only way is to love through the cross.
Continuing to speed, as she walked and cried a heat came over to her from the head down all the way to her feet. Esther says it’s like an electrical bolt came down from heaven just for her. It left as fast as it came but she still felt the heat inside her. It was like she was on fire. According to Esther, it was an incredible feeling. She began to praise God quietly, through her tears of joy.
When Esther got home, that night she slept sound. From that day night sweats, diarrhea or a dry cough were over, and her throat wasn’t sore. She healed. Esther had to believe in what she could not see, before the invisible. Her symptoms were over.
In the year 1987, Esther surrendered her life completely to God and begun to attend church and got baptized. Esther says that that is all she needed in her life. The addiction she had to drugs and sex fell off overnight.
